"It's not going to fit; it's too big." That's what she said. Nuzzled between a Scion tC and a VW New Beetle Convertible, we walk away after the all-too-familiar chore of parking a utility vehicle in a compact space. Except this time we're smiling instead of cursing. Not only did this 2010 GMC Terrain, our newest long-term test vehicle, fit into the diminutive space, but in an odd twist of lu... more. -

These are the heavy hitters. The big dogs. They're not playmakers or finesse artists and they don't dish out assists. If the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 is Dick Butkus snuffing out a Jim Brown thrust up the middle, then the 2010 Hennessey Performance Engineering Chevy Camaro SS HPE550 is Lawrence Taylor with radar lock on Joe Theismann's right leg. And it's not just that they're powerful and merciless,... more. -

MONTEREY, California — The design is sensational, but are plans to build and market the Devon GTX at $500,000 a copy, beginning in early 2010, overly ambitious? Scott Devon, CEO of Los Angeles-based Devon Motorworks and owner of Michigan-based Cole's Frozen Foods (which bills itself as "Home of the Original Frozen Garlic Bread"), doesn't think so. Devon is already touting the GTX as the "next... more. -

DETROIT — Neither Fiat nor Chrysler is saying exactly what the unnamed concept is in a corner of Chrysler's display at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. The front clip looks inspired by the Chrysler brand, and there's a "Chrysler" name in the front license-plate frame. But the donor car is clearly a Lancia Delta. There has been much speculation in the media about a possible sharing of vehicles betw... more. -

SHANGHAI, China — Chery Automobile Co. expects to sell 10,000 vehicles in Brazil by 2010 as it counts on new export markets to counter weak overseas demand elsewhere. China's seventh-largest carmaker began exporting its Tiggo sport-utility vehicle to Brazil this week as it officially set up shop in South America's biggest country.
